Terms & Conditions
Wheat, Home & Dreams (WHD) is a humanitarian initiative established by members of the Syrian diaspora to support orphaned children in western Syria who have been affected by violence, conflict, and forced displacement.
WHD is not affiliated with any political party, religious institution, or governmental body. Our work is guided solely by humanitarian principles: dignity, accountability, child protection, equity, and long-term commitment.
By accessing our website, submitting a donation, or engaging in any sponsorship programme with WHD, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
We reserve the right to update or amend these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
WHD offers three ways to contribute:
- Child sponsorship — a monthly contribution of €50–€75 dedicated to a specific orphaned child, covering food, shelter, education, and emotional support.
- Recurring general donation — a flexible monthly gift allocated by the WHD team to priority cases or urgent needs.
- One-time donation — a single contribution directed to general relief, education, or medical support.
ⓘ All transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment systems. WHD does not store your payment card details.
By making a donation, you confirm that the funds are your own and do not originate from unlawful activity. You also confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent.
WHD is committed to full transparency in the allocation of all contributions. Funds received are used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Food, household essentials, and clothing for sponsored children
- School enrolment, tuition fees, supplies, and tutoring
- Medical consultations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Safe shelter and basic utilities
- Psychological support and trauma recovery programmes
- Operational costs necessary to deliver the above, kept to a strict minimum
WHD partners with trusted local actors on the ground to ensure funds reach children safely and discreetly, particularly in areas under political control or social surveillance.
Due to the nature of humanitarian work, donations are generally non-refundable once processed, as funds are typically committed to immediate needs.
However, if you believe a payment was made in error or if you have a legitimate concern about a transaction, please contact us within 14 days of the donation date. We will review each case individually and, where appropriate, issue a refund.
Sponsorships may be cancelled at any time with reasonable notice. Payments already processed at the time of cancellation will not be refunded, but no further charges will be made.
The safety and dignity of every child we support is our highest priority. WHD operates under a strict safeguarding policy:
- We never publicly disclose identifying information about children or their caregivers.
- Donors may receive anonymised updates about the child they sponsor, with no personally identifiable details shared.
- All staff, volunteers, and sponsors are subject to screening and training under a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harm or exploitation.
- For children in politically sensitive or surveilled areas, absolute discretion is maintained throughout all communications.
